Again this season the Beacon Hill Community Association will participate with private property landowners and continue the responsible deer management program to legally and humanely manage the Whitetail deer population in Beacon Hill.
This notice serves to inform community members that land parcels E-1B1 (behind 40572 Spectacular Bid) and C-1D (across Old Waterford Rd) will be permitted for hunt by the trained professional bow huntsmen from Suburban Whitetail Management (SWM) during the legal season - September 10, 2011 through March 30, 2012. (Exception: Virginia law prohibits hunting on Sundays.) Click Here to see Map for location specifics. Suburban Whitetail Management is the only organization granted the right to bow hunt on Community Association owned Land Parcels E-1B1 and C-1D. No other organization or person may hunt on those parcels without the written permission of Beacon Hill Community Association.
HUNTING IS PROHIBITED AT ALL OTHER COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION OWNED LAND PARCELS.
The Loudoun County team members of SWM have been successfully hunting on community member's private property in Beacon Hill for several seasons now. SWM provides deer management services at many community associations, and private and commercial properties throughout Northern Virginia - their members have the highest levels of experience and integrity, and know and follow the law.
Bow hunts by SWM team members will be conducted at varying times during legal hunting hours (half hour before dawn to half hour after dusk.) Elevated hunt stands will be 150' distance from any private property not participating in the deer management program, and a minimum 30 yards distance from any portion of the equestrian trail. While we are confident with the safety precautions that will be taken, if you hike or ride the trail adjacent to land parcel E-1B1 or C1D, you may wish to consider changing your route.
The Board continues to receive positive feedback from a majority of homeowners who encourage continued participation in the program to control the ecological and property damage caused by overpopulation of Whitetail deer.
